The American Bulldogs are very strong, muscular and sturdy dog with large, powerful head and jaws. It has a wider chest and muscular neck. Normally Dogs height in this breed is 22 to 28 inches and the bitch’s height is 20 to 26 inches. The general weight of dogs in this breed is 70 to 120 pounds and for bitches its 60 to 100 pounds. Its nose is black or grizzle and with black nose its lips are also black. It has short harsh coat that are easy to groom.

This breed generally loves children. They should not be excessively timid aggressive or shy towards man. They are brave and determined but it is not a hostile dog. It is always look alert and self-confident. To fight with these dogs is like to fight with alligator or python. American Bulldogs are well socialized and obedience trained. They are reserved with strangers. Also they need moderate exercise, so they can live in apartments easily.
