Australian Cattle Dog is well muscled, powerful and a working dog. Its body is longer than high and have a curved tail. If we see it from the front then its front leg looks straight. They have oval and dark brown eyes. In this breed the height for the dog is between 17 to 20 inches and for the bitch’s it is between 17 to 19 inches. The weight for the dog is 32 to 35 pounds and for bitches it is 30 to 35 pounds.

Australian Cattle dogs does not like to live alone, they will easily become bored. They loyal, protective, alert, brave and trustworthy. They need a lot of attention and training on daily basis. Puppies are born white. It is very easy to groom these dogs. You just have to comb or brush their coat. You can shed their coat once or twice per year. The dogs of this breed have incredible stamina. It needs enough exercise and without it, they can become bored and destructive. They are not suggested for apartment life. They does good with a large yard.
