Brittany is a hearty, vigorous and medium sized dog with short single coat. Its eyes depend on the coat’s color. Nose can be more or less dark then the color of the coat. It can not be black. Ears are short. It needs regular brushing of medium length coat. Some trimming of the coat is also needed for proper grooming. It is a low maintenance dog. Height of the dog of this breed is 17 to 21 inches and the bitches height is 18 to 20 inches. The weight for the dog is 35 to 40 pounds and for bitches it is 30 to 40 pounds.

Brittany is intelligent, loving, easy to train, alert and obedient animal. It is easy to care for him. It is having good nature but sometimes it is nervous and hyperactive. Brittany is popular as a hunter because of its moderate size. Brittany have a great stamina and need a extensive exercise. They are not recommended for apartment life because they are very active and need a lot of exercise.
